Children’s Ministries
At House of Prayer we strive to partner with you as your child is guided in a healthy direction toward developing smarter decision making, stronger relationships, and deeper faith.
We have created a safe and fun environment for children to grow their faith in Jesus, as well as grow in their relationships with one another. We pray that through partnering with you, your child will continue to develop upon a foundation rooted in God's truth and continue to grow their faith as they walk through life with Jesus.
CLASS PROCEDURE
Immediately after worship service, an announcement dismisses all children to their classrooms.
SUNDAY SCHOOL GROUPS
Nursery: Children 0 through 36 months are provided a safe space in which they can experience the love of Jesus demonstrated through a language that they understand: Play.
Preschool (Age 4 - Kindergarten): Children 4 years old through Kindergarten meet in a safe and fun space where they will grow to learn that God created and loves them, through creative activities and listening to age-appropriate Children's Bible stories.
Primary (Grades 1 & 2): Children in grades 1 & 2 meet together in their own classroom where they learn the wonder of God’s Word through the visual presentation of Bible Stories, reinforced with exciting and fun follow-up activities.
Middler (Grades 3 & 4): Children in grades 3 & 4 meet together in their own classroom where they participate in numerous activities to help them learn to share the love of Jesus with others as they continue to grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
Preteen (Grades 5 & 6): Children in grades 5 & 6 meet together to be encouraged in the twin principles of understanding God’s Word and applying it in our lives. They participate in daily teacher led discussions designed to equip them with confidence in making wise choices based on Biblical truth.
Middle School (Grades 7 & 8): Students in grades 7 & 8 are encouraged to recognize how faith in Christ affects their lives. Teachings are designed to help guide the students into developing a genuine relationship with Jesus, to support them in their current seasons of life, and to strengthen into forming lasting Godly relationships.
High School (Grades 9 - 12): Students in grades 9 through 12 participate in a group experience aimed to help them further their understanding of the Bible and grow in their faith, in wisdom, and in their friendships. All activities and lessons are designed to both increase biblical knowledge, and promote authentic fellowship to build stronger relationships.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT SCHOOL GROUPS
Early Childhood (Age 4 - Grade 3): Children age 4 through grade 3 meet together for a Bible teaching and fun follow-up activities.
Middle Childhood (Grades 4 - 6): Children in grades 4 through 6 meet together for a Bible lesson and a fun time of fellowship.
Youth (Grades 7 - 12): Students in grades 7 through 12 meet together for a time of Biblical instruction, fellowship, and prayer.
